SPRINGBOK CLUB BRANCHES

The Springbok Club currently has established branches in the U.K. in London, Kent and Northern Ireland, as well as embryo branches in the Chilterns, Hampshire, Lancashire and East Anglia. In addition there are national structures in the process of being established in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, the United States and Scandinavia.

If you are interested in becoming actively involved with any of these branches or structures - or founding any new branch or structure - then please e-mail : springbk@netcomuk.co.uk

The London Branch stages regular visits to places of historical and national interest. The latest such trip was a conducted tour of the historical sites of Stepney in 2013, and their next event will be a trip to another interesting venue during the spring of 2016.

The Kent Branch stages regular away trips, braais and informal get-togethers. The latest Kent Branch activity was a special gathering staged near Canterbury in December 2015 in order to commemorate the Day of the Vow.

The Northern Ireland Branch holds meetings and get-togethers both in Belfast and the Coleraine areas. They also ensure that real South African flags are displayed in the streets during the marching season. The latest Northern Ireland event was a pub gathering in Belfast during August 2011, which was organised by the Springbok Club Northern Ireland Branch leader Neil Hanna.

It is planned to re-establish the Hampshire Branch of the Springbok Club with a re-launch gathering in the Southampton area during the summer of 2016.
